La Fenice Locorotondo srl
Our agency has been present in the area since 1999 and, thanks to a work made of passion, determination, professionalism and customer focus, it has managed to become a point of reference for both the residential and tourist market in the Itria Valley.
From a real estate point of view, Locorotondo's geographical position is decisive due to its centrality in the Itria Valley. Locorotondo, originally called Casale San Giorgio and then Casale Rotondo, has an agricultural centre dotted with trulli and vineyards and dominates the Itria Valley with its 4700 hectares.
The historic centre is a group of small white houses arranged in concentric rings, a feature that gave the town its name. The countryside around Locorotondo has a very varied agricultural landscape, with holm-oak thickets, the last examples of large, remote woods, vineyards, olive groves and vivid vegetable gardens, evidence of a balanced relationship between nature and the human home, the trulli...
Trulli, ancient dry-stone, conical constructions of protohistoric origin, are typical and exclusive to central-southern Apulia. The Trulli of Alberobello have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Worthy of interest are the clusters of trulli around a square, called 'jazzile', where people live in a pleasant and profitable neighbourhood unit, enjoying common services such as the water cistern, the small church, the farmyard and, in more recent times, the school and some shops.
A well-developed road network, almost all asphalted, runs through the area, making it easy to reach every corner of this lively countryside.
